Hi, I'm Oguzhan. Most people call me Ozzy.
I have been building software for more than a decade. I started with mobile apps and kept following the hard problems downward: into APIs, then data pipelines, then the servers and private clouds underneath them. Today there is no layer of the stack I would not put my name on.
Companies bring me in when the stakes are high. Usually a launch date is fixed and the platform has to hold, or a migration has to move years of records without losing one. I have led teams of twenty and worked alone through the night, and I hold both to the same standard.
I care most about the parts nobody sees. A migration should finish on an ordinary weekday without anyone noticing, and a new engineer should be productive on day one.
I open each engagement with a written plan and close it with documentation good enough that the team never needs me again. They usually call me anyway, for the next one.
Outside client work I build my own products. friend.surf began as the surf app I wanted for myself and now has surfers on three continents, and my open source runs on car dashboards around the world.
